Rear Fender Flares installed on 1992 Toyota 4runner aka Hilux Surf
After shot of the rear quarter panel on this '92 SR5 Toyota 4Runner after installing the Fender Flares. Thanks again to Travis from Calgary for taking the time to provide us with these images of his offroad 4x4 Toyota.
Before Shot -Toyota 4runner fender flares rear
Before shot of the rear fender of a 1992 Toyota 4Runner SR5 prior to have Fender Flares installed. See the ''after shot'' in the next photo. We always recommend sealing the rust as well as possible to prevent the rust from getting worse underneath the fender flares. Here, Travis has used a rust converter on the rust to turn it back to steel. We also recommend repainting even if its not pretty, and cover it with a thick grease or a sticky rust inhibitor oil. Once these wheel flares are on, nobody can see this area anyways, but of course you want to keep the rust contained out of sight.

''OK, here's the lowdown. This is my 1992 Toyota 4Runner SR5 with 299,304 km, and it should hit 300k in a week or two. It has the 3.0 L 3VZ-E engine and stock 4.88 gears. I added a 4'' Procomp Stage 2 suspension lift kit in June 2004 with the help of a couple of friends. This Toyota 4x4 is rollin' on 33'' x 12.50'' Firestone Destination M/T tires on 15 x 10 American Racing Baja rims with 43mm offset and 3 3/4'' backspacing. Of course, it also has Jungle Fender Flares which I put on myself as well, and a Dynamax exhaust system. That's about it, although I am hoping for lockers one day.''
